The prayer Column
God commands private prayer. Matthew 6:9 begins with the Father and His name.
The Shema calls us to love the Lord with all the heart, soul, and strength.
The Tabernacle: Living in Power through Abiding Prayer shows how that love is practiced
— quietly, from the heart, through Christ.
Have you experienced the quiet strength that comes with prayer?
Visitor:
Prayer is so much more than words. When anxiety takes hold, can prayer be a refuge?
The Prayer Column:
Yes. Prayer is a bridge. It offers stillness in the storm and reminds us we are not alone. Turn on power and authority to take control of the hard parts of your day. Turn off fear and doubt sapping your strength, stealing your joy.
Visitor:
What makes prayer powerful?
The Prayer Column:
It fosters peace. Prayer shifts our focus away from fears and worries. We learn to step into the prayer column, a focused breathing of praise out of the indwelling Christ within. The brief staccato of sentiment, Holy is your name, Oh God. can alleviate anxiety, replacing it with the present calm within His palace.
It builds upon Him, and we're bathed in His purpose, His peace. Through this praising prayer we often find direction. In The Tabernacle: Living in Power through Abiding Prayer, we offer guidance for finding this strength through powerful prayer for your walk in the marketplace.
It strengthens connection. Private prayer draws us closer to God. “We will come to him and make our home with him” (John 14:23). Access to God is through the blood of Jesus—period.
Visitor:
Is this emptying the mind?
The Prayer Column:
No. It is not a matter of emptying the mind. It is a deliberate union with God from within and then outward of the new heart. Prayer facilitates this abiding connection. “Our Father… hallowed be Your name” (Matthew 6:9). These words become a union of two voices—ours and Christ’s—the Prayer Column, rising heavenward for God’s glory.
You are the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16–17). His house will be called a house of prayer (Isaiah 56:6–7). Love God with your all. Soon you will arrive at, "Love your neighbor as thy self."
Visitor: What should I do today?
The Prayer Column: Take a moment to pray—asking for guidance, giving thanks, or praising His name. You might find exactly what you have been searching for.
Would you like to accept Jesus Christ and His gift of Salvation?
